Languages with West Virginia ESA and scholarship funds
What is covered, conditions and how to pay
- Status
- Not addressed by the handbook. Not named in the Hope Scholarship rules.
- Conditions
- No Hope Scholarship document names foreign language classes, tutoring or materials. The lists cover 'reading, language, mathematics, science, social studies, or the arts' and 'supplemental or elective educational courses'. In the Hope Scholarship rules, 'language' appears with reading and mathematics in the annual testing subjects, so it is not evidence of foreign language coverage. Families can ask the Board through the Qualifying Expense Request Form.
