We want you to know how this site is run and who we have relationships with, so you can judge our information for yourself.

Relationships with providers

We may have business, financial or personal connections with some of the companies mentioned on this site. For example, members of our team may work for a provider, or we may have an agreement with a company that pays us or gives us another benefit. These connections do not change how we present providers:

  • Every provider in the directory is shown with the same information and layout, in alphabetical order.
  • A provider’s program status comes only from the program’s official lists or the provider’s own published information, never from a relationship with us.
  • Any provider we have a connection with is marked on its directory listing and its profile page, with a short note saying what the connection is.

We do not use affiliate links and we do not sell placements in the directory or in our guides. If that ever changes, we will update this page and label every affected link or listing where it appears.

Free consultations

Our consultations are free to you. If a provider you choose has a connection with us, we will tell you during the consultation. We do not ask you to buy from any particular provider.

Use of artificial intelligence

We use AI tools to help us research, draft, translate and check our pages. Amounts, dates and rules are compared with each program’s official sources, and a member of our team reviews changes before they are published. AI tools can make mistakes, which is one more reason to confirm details with your program before you act. We do not use AI to make decisions about you, and we do not put your messages into AI tools to train them.

Government programs

We are not a government agency and are not affiliated with any state program, program administrator or payment platform. Program names and logos belong to their owners and are used only to identify the programs.
